About Us
Introducing ourselves, we are the Ni-Cey Group of Companies. Our parent organization, Ni-Cey International (Pvt) Ltd, was established in 1991. At the commencement, this centered on the export of conventional and organic tea, instant tea vending machines, instant tea in sachets in different flavors & natural spices, and Eco-friendly salt produced to IMO standards & bittern. We have found that it is essential that we introduce natural products to our clients in order to live healthier lives.
The name of our company, "Ni-Cey" is made from the combination of "Ni" from the name Nippon and "Cey" from Ceylon. The name is not a mere exercise in linguistics but stands for the long-running business and cultural relationship between our companies in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and Japan (Nippon). The Group was founded by Mr.G.L Tillakaratna, a Presidential award-winning businessman and entrepreneur in Sri Lanka with more than 30 years of affiliations with Japan. There are three companies in the group.

We also export premium-quality gherkins, with Japan—one of the world’s most quality-conscious and demanding markets—as our primary destination. In addition, we have ventured into developing the agricultural sector through the export of fermented pickles, including cucumbers and onions.
